The day has finally come and gone, Jess is a married woman! (picture left). The weekend started out like any other...flying to Vegas, almost missing my shuttle, the long ride to St. George and then finally, I was there! It felt so good to be back. Although the weather was a lot colder than I remember! Ha! I arrived on Thursday night. Since I had two friends getting married on Oct. 10th but would be unable to attend one of the weddings, we got the girls together for a dinner. Clare (my friend and former roomie) was getting married on the same day as Jessica. We rounded up the girls and went out to Olive Garden for dinner. I was so happy I got to see her before the big day! I'm so sad I couldn't make it to her wedding but I don't doubt she made a beautiful bride! On Friday, I arose early for I had many things to do. Later that night we were having Jessica's Bachelorette Party and who else would be able to make penis cakes if I didn't?! After baking and frosting, Me and Laura decided we needed a few more items to finish off Jessica's "Naughty" basket. So we ran to Target, picked up the essentials and went back to gather our things. We left St. George and made a quick stop in Cedar to pick up Kelsi. By 4:30, we were in Lehi. After getting checked into the hotel, we quickly got ready for dinner. But quickly didn't go so well since there were four of us in the room haha. We ended up being 30 minutes late but luckily we didn't lose our reservations. We went to this classy joint called Spark Lounge in Provo. They serve fancy drinks that are non-alcoholic. The appitizers were fabulos...the food...not so much! Along with our dinner, we enjoyed an extra special treat :) As you can see, the Bride to Be thourghly enjoyed them! After dinner, we made our way to Ogden to Adult Dance and Fitness. I had arranged for us to learn a specail moves by scheduling a pole dancing lesson. I was glad that everyone was open minded about it. The instructor was awesome. She showed us a few easy spins and even taught us a dance number. Before we knew it, the hour had flown by. We ended the session with a special dance number by none other than Jessica. Haha. Our instructor also showed us a few more complicated moves. All I have to say is that pole dancing was a work out! I was still sore two days later not to mention I had plenty of bruises to show off. Our lesson ended around 11 o'clock and we still had to drive about an hour to get back to the hotel. Since I new my way around northern Utah, Laura let me drive her car everywhere so that we wouldn't get lost. We made it back to the hotel around mid-night and went to bed as soon as we laid down. The next morning we awoke feeling rested but excited. Jessica's big day was finally here! It seemed crazy to me that in just a few hours my best friend would be marrying the love of her life. The four of us ventured down to breakfast and while eating reminisced about the nights adventures. Only to notice that Kelsi was still wearing her name tag (might I add it was penis shaped) haha! After breakfast, we went back to the room and started the showering process. Surprisingly, it didn't take us that long to get all four girls cleaned up! Jessica and Laura decided to go get pedicures while me and Kelsi got us checked out of the hotel and moved our luggage to my sister's house for the time being. My mom gave Kelsi and I a ride over to my sister's house where I got to see my neice and nephews. I was gald I got to see them for a little bit, but Jessica and Laura arrived about fifteen minutes after me and Kelsi. Jessica still had a few last minute things she needed to pick up so we drove over to Wal-Mart. Then we decided that we should probably eat lunch since we wouldn't really have time to eat later. We stopped at Noodles and Co. where I ordered the Mac & Cheese...So good!!! Once we had finished eating, we drove back to my sister's house to start doing our hair. Kelsi was in charge of doing Jessica's hair and she spent the next hour curling and pinning! We left around 2:30 because we still had to stop by Dixon's parents to get Jessica's dress. We had planned it so that Dixon would leave a few minutes before we got there (they had decided not to see eachother the day of the wedding). Everything went smoothly and we hurried off to the Ceremony site for rehersal. After the rehersal, we rushed up to the Bride room and finished getting ready. Jessica looked amazing! It still didn't seem real evan as she stepped into her dress. The photographer was there and everything but it still all felt like a dream. The Wedding Planner stopped to make sure we were ready before she made the annoucement to have everyone get seated. From the Bride room, we watched everyone walk out to their seats and then we saw Dixon come out. We had a true girl moment where all of us screamed. Apparently everyone could hear us because Dixon just looked up and smiled, pulled a camera out of his coat pocket and took a picture of me in the window. Haha! It was perfect. As we lined up outside the room to walk down the asile, the butterfiles kicked in. I think I was more nervous than Jessica was! Luckily, we all made it down the stairs without tripping and managed to hold back the tears as we watched our friend marry her one and only. After the Ceremony, the pictures began! The Reception followed the pictures along with dancing, food, cake fights and the first dance!
XOXO
