Christmas!!

This year for Christmas, I went to my parents house. Me and Marty made the journey up there Christmas Eve Morning. I got out to my parents just in time for dinner. My mom made chicken, veggies, and baked potatoes! It was delicious. We followed the usually tradition of opening one present on Christmas Eve. After the present opening, I decided to go to sleep since it had been a long day.

On Christmas, we woke up around 9 and opened presents. My dad was the one who got spoiled this year...I'm pretty sure he got everything on his list. I got a cook book and a couple of other things. I was really excited about the cook book since I like to cook! My mom got some delicious chocolates, a jacket and rice cooker/steamer thing.

That afternoon, we went down to St. George for our family Christmas Dinner. I got to see my newest cousin and we watched some old Christmas videos from when I was 14! Haha! They were pretty entertaining. After eating, we headed back to my parents house to watch my two nephews open their presents. They got A LOT of clothes and some cool toys.

All in all it was a good trip. I wish I could've stayed longer to visit more people but I couldn't take work off. Hopefully next year I will be able to. I was just glad to spend the time with my family.

Happy Happy Birthday To ME!!!!!

So as most of you know, I decided to celebrate big for my 21st birthday! I was a BLAST! I would recommend that
everyone should go on a cruise at least once in their life. Anyways...here is a play by play of how my 2 week celebration went down.....

***WARNING: LONG LONG POST....SORRY***
My friend Bryttni flew down to hang out with me on my actual birthday. Since my b-day was on a Thursday, I didn't really do much. I had to work that day so I settled for going out to dinner with some friends. And if any of you know me, you know that I yet again went to Olive Garden for my b-day dinner. For some reason, I always end up there! Haha! The food was tasty as always! For my birthday, some of the people at my work bought me a special present....a REAL LIFE PIMP CUP!!!! I have wanted one for years and years but I never got one! I was literally running around the office showing EVERYONE how awesome this thing was! It seriously made my day! I also got flowers, cake, and cards :) I was loving it! On Friday, I was still in Phoenix but had taken the day off of work to just relax and finish my packing. I went and got a pedicure from this awesome lady. If any of you are in the area, you should totally check out Smudges Boutique to get glitter toes, jewel toes, minx nails or whatever! Lisa does a FAB job!! After my pedicure, I followed it up with a 80 minute massage and a 40 minute facial! I was so relaxed that I actually fell asleep during the massage!! I found this awesome place that was doing 80 minute massages for a 50 minute price, plus I got $10 off on the facial. Needless to say, I could NOT pass that up!!! After all of my pampering, I went home and finished my packing. I didn't take me too long since I had started packing about 2 weeks prior. Ha! I was so excited/nervous for the next day that I could hardly eat or sleep for that matter.

The next morning, I caught my flight to Vegas. Stephanie and I had decided to meet up in Vegas so she didn't have to drive all the way to LA by herself. She picked me up around 9am and then we started the long journey to California. We arrived in CA around 2ish which was perfect. That gave us 2 hours to make it onto the boat. Once we got on our boat (Norwegian Star), we found our room which was located on the 8th floor, close to the center of the boat. Shortly after getting on the boat, we had to attend a mandatory life saving drill. We pretty much learned how we would have to use the life boats in the event that the Cruise ship went down like the Titanic! After the drill, we made our way up to the pool deck for some good food and music. It was kind of chilly so we decided to go back to the room and see what events were going on. After looking over the agenda for that night, we decided a little retail therapy wouldn't hurt and headed down to one of the gift shops on the boat. While we were there, we met a few people. There were two older ladies from Texas that were really funny. We kept running into them over the next week and every time we saw them, we referred to them as our "Cruise Mom's". We also met Jeremy and Randy who we appointed our personal tour guides/body guards. Later that night, we went to an 80's dance party where we met a group of 4 guys that were all from Washington. At this point, we had pretty much met everyone our age on the boat! Ha! Seriously! After shaking our booties well into the night, we decided to go to sleep and made the journey back to our room.

The next day, we spent on the ship! We found some activities to keep us busy but we were ready to be in Mexico! We dressed up and went to dinner that night at a Tex Mex place on the ship. The food was alright but I think I was just to nervous to eat much since we were going to be in Cabo the next day!!!! After dinner, we went to the White Party where the had great music, snow, fog, and GLOW STICKS! We again worked off all of that food by grooving on the dance floor! haha!

The next morning when we arose, we could see the shoreline! I was SO ready to be off the boat and couldn't wait to see Mexico. To get off the boat, we had to take another little boat (also known as a tender) to the dock. Once on the dock, we navigated our way to the taxes with the help of our two tour guides. We then took a taxi to a beach about 15 minutes away from everyone else. I was so nice. There were little shade umbrellas and the water to amazing! While the guys went surfing...well they tried to go surfing but there weren't many waves, me and Steph did what we do best....laid on the beach! haha! Don't worry, I did wear sunscreen so I didn't get sunbruned. After about 2 hours, we decided to head back to where everyone else was. So we got back in our taxi and drove toward the dock. We decided to have the driver drop Randy and I off so that Steph and Jeremy could run back to the boat to grab more money and drop off the surf boards. While we were waiting for them to get back, we ordered some tacos and I met older couple. John and Francis (Franny) were really funny. They told us that they wanted to head to this place called Cabo Wabo before getting back on the boat so we decided to tag along. We told them that we needed to wait for Stephanie and Jeremy to get back before we could leave. A few minutes later, they showed up and we started to make our way down the streets of Mexico on foot. As we were walking, I felt this stinging sensation in my arm...when I looked down, there was this little black bug so I smashed it! Later on I would find out that this little bug had a big bite! It looked like I had some strange muscle on my arm! haha! On our way to Cabo Wabo, we met Diana! She is an awesome, free spirited girl!

The next day, we spent in Mazatlan! I really enjoyed Mazatlan the most. The vibe was just laid back and fun. When we first got there, Stephanie, Jeremy, Randy, Diana, and I all took these little buggie type taxis around. I seriously felt like I was on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at Disney Land! It was AWESOME! Once we arrived at the beach, we found a restaurant that had an awesome view and grabbed a few tables. We decided to rent a jet ski for an hour and let me tell you, I LOVED IT! I seriously was screaming and laughing the whole time I was riding it! I don't know how I EVER lived without riding one of those things! When we were coming back in, I thought I would do this cool back dive off of it...well it didn't work out so well. The water was about 2 ft. deep and I just ended up rolling my ankle pretty bad! It's still swollen! haha! It probably didn't help that 10 minutes later I was up dancing around on it! After a few hours of hanging out, we met up with this couple that Randy, Diana, and Jeremy had met earlier on it the trip. Tim and Sam are actually from Scottsdale (which is about 30 minutes away from where I live in AZ). We all decided to take a taxi together and we totally made the right decision. Our driver was so freaking awesome! He drove us all around so we could get awesome pictures. The guys were having a blast acting like monkeys while hanging out the back of a moving vehicle! haha! Once we got on the boat we made our way back to our rooms to get ready for dinner. We had all signed up to take part in a Murder Mystery dinner. I was pretty stoked about it. About half way through, Tim spilled the beans that he was in fact the murderer! We all laughed forever about that whole incident. Haha!

The next day we spent in Puerto Vallarta. The day started off kind of slow and we were all kind of grouchy. We ended up renting a car instead of trying to take taxis everywhere. It was actually a SMART idea! For $50 we got to see whatever we wanted to! We drove down to the beach to get some grub and then headed up into the jungle to find a waterfall. We had heard there was an awesome one and we did find it! There was a rope swing and waterfall slide! At first I was scared to try the rope swing but then I figured...What the heck I might as well! So I did it and screamed the whole way haha! After that, me and Steph made our way up to the waterfall slide. Again, I was scared to go down...but with a little push, I was on my way! It was awesome! The water was cold but it felt nice in the hot weather! After spending a good 4 hours up in the jungle, we decided to head back down. On our way down, we took alot of amazing pictures and had a great time laughing, screaming and joking around!

The next two days were spent at sea...and boy was I ready to get off that boat! There are only so many magic shows and movies you can watch without feeling bored! The first day wasn't too bad because we spent the whole day at the pool. The second day, however, was FREEZING! I was in sweats pretty much the whole day! On Saturday, we were back in LA and after getting off the boat and spending an hour in parking lot traffic, we were finally on our way to VEGAS!
Upon our arrival in Vegas, we met up with Stephanie's Fiance, Cody. Later that evening, Laura, Ian, Jessica, Dixon and T-bone all came down to hang out. We went to dinner at PF Chang's and I gambled for the first time. It was quite the experience! I won $0.03!!! Awesome! Laura won $25 on one machine so we decided to try her luck on another. She pulled the lever and won again. We started screaming and jumping up and down. Soon enough, there was a crowd of about 10 people around us asking how much she had won! When they found out it was only $18, they just shook their heads! We were pretty stoked about it haha! After dinner, everyone left back to UT and we made our way back to the hotel to sleep! I was so worn out from the whole trip that I just wanted to be home! The next day, we went to the Wax Museum in Las Vegas. I was kind of disappointed. The figures didn't look real at all! After a fun day, I got on a plane towards home! I was so so so so so happy to be home! Marty missed me bunches!
Anyways...that's pretty much most of my whole trip. Sorry if it was super long! haha. Until next time.

The Wedding....

The day has finally come and gone, Jess is a married woman! (picture left). The weekend started out like any other...flying to Vegas, almost missing my shuttle, the long ride to St. George and then finally, I was there! It felt so good to be back. Although the weather was a lot colder than I remember! Ha! I arrived on Thursday night. Since I had two friends getting married on Oct. 10th but would be unable to attend one of the weddings, we got the girls together for a dinner. Clare (my friend and former roomie) was getting married on the same day as Jessica. We rounded up the girls and went out to Olive Garden for dinner. I was so happy I got to see her before the big day! I'm so sad I couldn't make it to her wedding but I don't doubt she made a beautiful bride! On Friday, I arose early for I had many things to do. Later that night we were having Jessica's Bachelorette Party and who else would be able to make penis cakes if I didn't?! After baking and frosting, Me and Laura decided we needed a few more items to finish off Jessica's "Naughty" basket. So we ran to Target, picked up the essentials and went back to gather our things. We left St. George and made a quick stop in Cedar to pick up Kelsi. By 4:30, we were in Lehi. After getting checked into the hotel, we quickly got ready for dinner. But quickly didn't go so well since there were four of us in the room haha. We ended up being 30 minutes late but luckily we didn't lose our reservations. We went to this classy joint called Spark Lounge in Provo. They serve fancy drinks that are non-alcoholic. The appitizers were fabulos...the food...not so much! Along with our dinner, we enjoyed an extra special treat :) As you can see, the Bride to Be thourghly enjoyed them! After dinner, we made our way to Ogden to Adult Dance and Fitness. I had arranged for us to learn a specail moves by scheduling a pole dancing lesson. I was glad that everyone was open minded about it. The instructor was awesome. She showed us a few easy spins and even taught us a dance number. Before we knew it, the hour had flown by. We ended the session with a special dance number by none other than Jessica. Haha. Our instructor also showed us a few more complicated moves. All I have to say is that pole dancing was a work out! I was still sore two days later not to mention I had plenty of bruises to show off. Our lesson ended around 11 o'clock and we still had to drive about an hour to get back to the hotel. Since I new my way around northern Utah, Laura let me drive her car everywhere so that we wouldn't get lost. We made it back to the hotel around mid-night and went to bed as soon as we laid down. The next morning we awoke feeling rested but excited. Jessica's big day was finally here! It seemed crazy to me that in just a few hours my best friend would be marrying the love of her life. The four of us ventured down to breakfast and while eating reminisced about the nights adventures. Only to notice that Kelsi was still wearing her name tag (might I add it was penis shaped) haha! After breakfast, we went back to the room and started the showering process. Surprisingly, it didn't take us that long to get all four girls cleaned up! Jessica and Laura decided to go get pedicures while me and Kelsi got us checked out of the hotel and moved our luggage to my sister's house for the time being. My mom gave Kelsi and I a ride over to my sister's house where I got to see my neice and nephews. I was gald I got to see them for a little bit, but Jessica and Laura arrived about fifteen minutes after me and Kelsi. Jessica still had a few last minute things she needed to pick up so we drove over to Wal-Mart. Then we decided that we should probably eat lunch since we wouldn't really have time to eat later. We stopped at Noodles and Co. where I ordered the Mac & Cheese...So good!!! Once we had finished eating, we drove back to my sister's house to start doing our hair. Kelsi was in charge of doing Jessica's hair and she spent the next hour curling and pinning! We left around 2:30 because we still had to stop by Dixon's parents to get Jessica's dress. We had planned it so that Dixon would leave a few minutes before we got there (they had decided not to see eachother the day of the wedding). Everything went smoothly and we hurried off to the Ceremony site for rehersal. After the rehersal, we rushed up to the Bride room and finished getting ready. Jessica looked amazing! It still didn't seem real evan as she stepped into her dress. The photographer was there and everything but it still all felt like a dream. The Wedding Planner stopped to make sure we were ready before she made the annoucement to have everyone get seated. From the Bride room, we watched everyone walk out to their seats and then we saw Dixon come out. We had a true girl moment where all of us screamed. Apparently everyone could hear us because Dixon just looked up and smiled, pulled a camera out of his coat pocket and took a picture of me in the window. Haha! It was perfect. As we lined up outside the room to walk down the asile, the butterfiles kicked in. I think I was more nervous than Jessica was! Luckily, we all made it down the stairs without tripping and managed to hold back the tears as we watched our friend marry her one and only. After the Ceremony, the pictures began! The Reception followed the pictures along with dancing, food, cake fights and the first dance!

Labor Day Weekend

For Labor Day, me and Marty got in the car and made the long drive to Utah. The day started out like any normal day...at 5 in the morning haha! After missing my exit, getting stuck in traffic, and being choosen for a random security check at the Hoover Dam, we finally made it to Utah around 2 o'clock. I dropped off my stuff at my friends Stephanie's house because I was suppose to be in Cedar at 3 for Kelsi to do my hair. Well...I didn't make it there at 3 haha....more like 4. So we went to Kelsi's house for a bit and then decided to head back to St. George for a night out on the town. Once we landed back in St. George, we went to Stephanie's Boyfriend's house to pick him up. After dancing around and taking plenty of pictures, we decided to head over to our friend Kara's house to kick it. There we played in the pool, danced, and chatted with some old friends. About 3 am, we finally made it back home. And two hours later, Marty was up and ready to go for the day. I got up and took him out to go to the bathroom and then some how convinced him to go back to sleep. On Saturday, we had plans to go hiking, but since the air quality was bad and Steph has really bad allergies, we decided to just lay around the house until 2 when we finally got some motivation to do something. And that something was laying by the pool...haha! Later that night, we got all dolled up to to go eat dinner at the Olive Garden. After dinner, we met up with some friends and played a couple games of Scategories and Clue. On Sunday, we spent most of the day at the lake. I had made plans to go out to my parents house for dinner that night. I can't believe it had been almost a YEAR since I had been out to good old Beryl! But I made the trek since my mom had baked me a chicken pot pie! (I had been craving one for a couple of weeks). It was nice to visit them and I even got to see my nephews :) !!!! On Monday, I had decided to leave a little bit later in the day to try and squeeze in a few extra hours at the lake. Well that plan didn't go so well...Steph & I drove out to Sand Hallow to meet up with her parents and some neighbors. After sitting there for 30 + mins, we finally got a phone call back from them. They told us to wait at the dock and they would pick us up. After about 10 more minutes, we still didn't find them, turns out they were at Quail! So, I decided that me and Marty better get on the road. We were making good time until we hit the Hoover Dam. Sitting in bumper to bumper traffic for an hour was not great! That is the first time I've ever had to wait that long. Once we got past that, it was smooth sailing home! All in all, it was a great weekend. I forgot how much fun it was to hang out with my girls! I'm so glad I went.

On another note, I'm doing well. My job is going great, Marty is finally adjusting to my schedule, and I found a SMOKING hott deal on a 1 bedroom apartment! I'm moving in little less than two weeks !!! I'm so excited but kind of nervous. Other than that, I'm going to be back in Utah in October for Jessica's wedding. I still can't believe she's getting married.

Introducing....

Marty!!! He is the most adorable little thing yet! At least I think so haha! I adopted him from the pound last week. He has been such a good dog thus far. On Saturday, we played in the pool for hours! Every time I tried to get him out, he just kept jumping back in. He's a swimming machine! Although he's not a puppy, I'm glad he's mine now! He's a 6 year old yorkie mix. I'm glad he's that old because he is house trained! Best thing ever...and I didn't even have to teach him! haha! He loves to be petted and explore the world. Riding in the car is pretty up there on his list of favorites! He jumps up to look out the window and stands in front of the air vent to feel the wind in his face! haha! The other day we went on an hour long walk...at 6 am! I know...me wake up at 6 am on a SATURDAY! Pssshhhh!!! Haha...but for him I will! I can't wait for his hair to grow back out! He had to be shaved since his hair was all matted from being at the pound for about a month! I rescued him in the nick of time! I get to take him to the vet on Wednesday and I hope everything is perfect with him! He seems to be adjusting well to his new life! Anyways...here are the before and after pictures! I saw past all the matted hair and couldn't stand to see him stay at the pound!

Work, Passports, Engagements, And Dinner....

Well it's been a while since I've posted one here so I figured I'd update everyone.

Lately I've just been working. I found a job towards the end of May and am glad to have found it. They pay well and the work isn't too bad...haha! It's just a normal desk job although I don't have to answer phones (thank heavens!). I work for a property management/HOA company. I work in the Financial Services or in other words...Collections. I'm not a collector which means I don't have to call any one and say "You owe us money...pay up!" haha...I just do all the dirty work basically.

Today I got my passport in the mail! I am SOOOOO excited to see the world. Now I can travel ANYWHERE in the world! My first out of the country trip is planned for my birthday! I'm going on a 5 day cruise to Mexico...got to go big for the BIG 21!!! Ahhh! That week long cruise will be followed up by a 3 day stay in Vegas! Like I said "Go big or go Home!" haha! I am really excited to turn 21.

In the last week, I've had two friends get engagaed. My old roomie Clare (picture left) was the first of the friends to be engaged. She is marrying her boyfriend of about a year October 10th in the St. George Temple. I'm excited for her to be able to be sealed for time and all eternity. Next came Jessica! She's FINALLY getting married to her boyfriend of about 2 years Dixon! (picture right) It's crazy to see two of my best friends get married, the sad part...she is also getting married Oct. 10th! So hard to choose which one to go to but I have decided to attend Jessica's. Reasons being: I've known her longer, I knew about hers first, she's my closest friend, and I couldn't not be there on her wedding day! I love you both and wish I could make them both! Congratulations Girls!

And Last but not least, the other day I made the most AMAZING dinner ever! I was so proud I had to take a picture of it! I got the recipie out of no other than Cosmo....yes the magazine! haha!
That's all for now!

Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day Weekend, I had decided to go back to St. George. Besides missing my friends, I also had TWO weddings to attend on Saturday! So I left for St. George on Friday morning and made it safely there in about 5 or so hours! When I got there I went to Jessica's house and we met up with our friend Stephanie. Because I'm somewhat of a slacker, I still had to buy presents. So we ran over to target and pick out of few things for each wedding. While we were there, we decided that we should go camping that night since it is Summer and all. Jess was pretty much in charge of it and just like me, anything she plans usually doesn't run smoothly! Ha! So we met everyone in Washington and drove out to Oak Grove. When we got there, I spotted the PERFECT camping spot. We pulled the cars over and claimed our dirt! The boys that were with us started putting up tents...I know right...actual tents! I don't think I've been Big Boy camping in a few years! And of course while they were setting up tents, Me, Laura, and Jess were all taking pictures and laughing! After they had set up tents and built a monster of a fire, we decided to explore our surroundings. Let me just add...NEVER EVER wear flip flops camping haha! Ooopppsss!! Down below us, there was a river and A LOT of cactus! I managed to make it through without getting any cactus needles in my foot! After exploring, we went back and roasted some dogs and mallows. It was fun to sit around with my friends and just laugh! The next morning we awoke bright and early, packed up our shiz, and left! All in about an hour! Ha! We then went to Village Inn and got breakfast! After Breakfast me and Jess went shoe shopping! OMG!! I found these shoes that are so cute! Later that day, I attended both of the weddings. Both were so beautiful and of course the brides looked amazing! On Sunday, me and Jess went over to Laura's to go swimming. We cooked up some tacos and laid in the sun....just like old times! On Monday I drove home. I made good time that day too! It was a fun trip home and I'm glad I went! Hopefully I can make it back up there sometime soon.

Grils Night 2009

Before I left for Arizona, some of the girls from my class got together for dinner. We did this last summer and loved it so much we decided to do it again. It's fun to see everyone and reminisce about old times. This year we only used one camera so I had to steal this picture from Amanda...thanks :)

Holi: Festival of Colors 2009

Ever since last year, I have been excited to go to Color Fest! I'm so glad I got to go this year, it was so much fun. I mean who wouldn't want to throw colored chalk in some random persons face?! Haha! Color fest is centered around an old Indian tradition. From what I understand it is to welcome Spring. Anyways, it's held every year in Spanish Fork at the Krishna temple. There are so many people that attend this thing...it's CRAZY! Well anyways, I convienced Jess, Steph, and Logan to all come up for it. And you know what...they were glad they did. We left my house around 4:30, got stuck in traffic for about 1/2 an hour but it was all worth it. When we arrived at the temple, we were told that they were all out of color. I was really sad when I found this out and it kind of put a damper on things for a minute. But it didn't last too long! Five minutes later, some lady started selling color again so me and Dixon joined in the mosh pit type crowd to get some. If any of you know me well, you know I don't do well in tightly confined spaces with large crowds! haha! Needless to say, we ended up scoring a few bags of color just in time to start throwing them. We made our way to the middle of the HUGE crowd and got drenched in color chalk. It was AWESOME!!!! I'm for sure going to try and make it next year...and I suggest that any of you who can make it should! It's one of the biggest things to happen in Utah every year. Anyways there are more pictures below...enjoy :D
