Rappelling

Yesterday I got to go rappelling for the second time in my life. Well I guess I really shouldn't say that I went, I thought about going. For those of you who know me, you know that I am terrified of heights. So going down a 200ft cliff isn't exactly my idea of fun. But none the less, I tagged along with a group of friends to watch them do it. While waiting for our friend Zach to arrive, we decided to have an impromptu dance party (pictures right) in the Stadium 8 parking lot. Oh how I love my friends. None of us were worried what we looked like and I'm pretty sure it was ridiculous looking...haha. All those poor old people leaving the movies at 5:00 sure did get a show :D !!! When Zach finally arrived, we headed out to Cougar Cliffs. For those of you who don't know where that is, it's on your way towards Enterprise. Just past mile marker 6. It's also a lovely place to enjoy a sunset picnic haha....very romantic!!! Anyways, we arrived at Cougar Cliffs with our rappelling gear in tow. Zach, the master rappeller, set up the rope and harness while us girls did what we do best....take pictures of ourselves and complain about the freezing cold wind...haha!!! Clare's boy toy (not really sure if they are together or what) Tyler was the first one to go down. He did it like a pro of course. Next up was Echo (A girl that Zach brought) and just a little fyi, she had never been rappelling before. I was very impressed by her! First time rappelling and she tackles a 200ft cliff! It must be easy I thought...oh was I wrong!!! Next up was Jess, my bestie for life! Don't worry, she as well tackled that cliff (main picture)! So then it was my turn. With the sun setting and one of my favorite shows about to start, I figured I'd better man up and do it (picture left). I was all ready to go and then I looked behind me...mistake!! After that, I couldn't talk myself into going. I gave up! Clare was up next after me. She as well had no fear about going down this 200ft cliff. She made it look so easy!!! When the sun finally went down, I swear the temperature dropped 20 degrees!! I was so cold!!! We ran to the car to get home in time for Gossip Girl to start. After an intense hour of Gossip Girl, we went and got some hot chocolate...yummy!!

Flashbacks & Young Love

Yesterday, I ventured back to the town of Enterprise. I surprised by how much it had changed since I'd last been there. Me, Jessica, Logan, and my room mate Kelsey went to the Enterprise High School homecoming game. It was so weird. Going back to high school functions is always a little awkward...seeing people you know but weren't really friends with, the awkward hellos and smiles...I'm not a big fan of it. But regardless, I went. I got to see some old classmates and kids that in my mind are still young cheer leading, dancing, and playing football. It was weird!!! But I made the best of it. Enjoyed some hot chocolate, hot dogs, nachos, and popcorn. Got to love concessions :D I mostly had to get my room mate Kelsey out of our house because her boyfriend was planning on proposing to her once we got back. When we got back to St. George, me and Kelsey returned to the apartment to find rose pedals and candles all around inside our house. She had no clue what was going on, but I was very aware haha!! I ran into the dining room and told her she should just go upstairs. She made her way upstairs to find her boyfriend in her room. Don't worry...she said yes. I wish them luck.
