Very Merry Christmas

On Sunday we had a family Christmas party at my Aunt's house. It was crazy! Haha!! All of my family was there! My sister came down from Orem with her husband and kids, John came down from Cedar with his girlfriend and their two kids, and best of all....my brother Chris came up from California with his wife and little girl! Anyways after a night of running around, chasing kids, and eating until I was stuffed, it was time for me to get a good nights sleep! Anyways...I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Happy Birthday!!!

Oh how I just love birthdays!!!! As of yesterday, I am no longer a teenager! I can't believe that I am 20!!! It's crazy! Anyways, this year for my birthday, we went out to eat the night before. We went to Olive Garden and enjoyed a feast of all feasts!!!! I just can't get enough of their soup or bread sticks haha. After dinner, I went home to catch up on some much needed sleep. Only I never really get to bed as soon as I'd like. Anywhoot, the next morning I awoke and realized that it was my birthday! My day started off like any other day....working!! Lame I know but they let me leave at noon :) and then I went to lunch with my girls! Me, Laura, Jess, and Bryttni ate at Ruby Tuesdays where Sara works. She made me the most amazing cake ever! It was really good! After stuffing our selves to the brim, we went for a little relaxation trip to the mall. We didn't find anything we really wanted to buy so we decided we should just leave. So I drove home and took a little nap....it was nice! After my nap, I went to get my birthday present from my mother.....$20 is always a good present! Then I went over to Laura's house. She also baked me a cake (it's tradition :D)! Me, Laura, Bryttni, and Clare all played Imaginiff (really fun game...you should look into getting it).

Carving Pumpkins + Haunted Houses = Halloween

Halloween this year was fun fun fun as usual!! I just love carving pumpkins (picture left). This year I got to do it twice. The first pumpkin I carved was suppose to look like a pedophile...haha and the second one I carved was suppose to look like Harry Potter...I didn't do a very good job on that one though. A couple of weeks before, I went to a costume party with my friend Stephanie. It was a lot of fun. I dressed up as Cruella De Vil, but I looked more like a twelve cent hooker. When we got to the party, there were so many creative costumes. One guy was dressed up as a robot!! It was nuts! I really enjoyed seeing everyone get into the Halloween spirit. The weekend after that, I went to the haunted corn maze with a group of friends. I was pretty scared, I even ran away from the whole group just to get out of there. A couple days after that, I went to the haunted house by the mall!! That was very very very very scary! I ran into a few walls, knocked over some baracades, and almost lost my voice from screaming so much! Let's just say I'll probably never go through that one again! And then the main event...Halloween night :D !! My friend Sara came over to get ready with me and while we were sitting there, the kids from my neighborhood kept knocking on the door. Me being totally amazing...not...had forgot that little kids go trick or treating and you're suppose to have candy to hand out...oops!! So we hung a sign on our door that read "No Candy Here! We're Lame!" After that, they stopped knocking. A little while later, Jess, Bryttni, and Jenny all showed up to get ready. Sara was Bat Girl, Jess was a Nurse, Bryttni was Minne Mouse, and Jenny & I were both Mrs. Claus (picture right). After we got all dolled up, we went over and picked up some guy friends. Tim was some pimp or something, Kaleb was a beer guy, and Bill was Mr. Claus (since me and Jenny were both Mrs. Claus we figured it could be like playboy style haha)(picture left). Once we were done taking pictures, we headed off the the Dixie College Dance. When we got there, the dance was packed. We had to wait in line for 15 minutes before we could even get up to where the dancing was going on. We eventually made our way up and danced our little booties off!! I was a lot of fun!!! I just can't even wait for next year!!

Rappelling

Yesterday I got to go rappelling for the second time in my life. Well I guess I really shouldn't say that I went, I thought about going. For those of you who know me, you know that I am terrified of heights. So going down a 200ft cliff isn't exactly my idea of fun. But none the less, I tagged along with a group of friends to watch them do it. While waiting for our friend Zach to arrive, we decided to have an impromptu dance party (pictures right) in the Stadium 8 parking lot. Oh how I love my friends. None of us were worried what we looked like and I'm pretty sure it was ridiculous looking...haha. All those poor old people leaving the movies at 5:00 sure did get a show :D !!! When Zach finally arrived, we headed out to Cougar Cliffs. For those of you who don't know where that is, it's on your way towards Enterprise. Just past mile marker 6. It's also a lovely place to enjoy a sunset picnic haha....very romantic!!! Anyways, we arrived at Cougar Cliffs with our rappelling gear in tow. Zach, the master rappeller, set up the rope and harness while us girls did what we do best....take pictures of ourselves and complain about the freezing cold wind...haha!!! Clare's boy toy (not really sure if they are together or what) Tyler was the first one to go down. He did it like a pro of course. Next up was Echo (A girl that Zach brought) and just a little fyi, she had never been rappelling before. I was very impressed by her! First time rappelling and she tackles a 200ft cliff! It must be easy I thought...oh was I wrong!!! Next up was Jess, my bestie for life! Don't worry, she as well tackled that cliff (main picture)! So then it was my turn. With the sun setting and one of my favorite shows about to start, I figured I'd better man up and do it (picture left). I was all ready to go and then I looked behind me...mistake!! After that, I couldn't talk myself into going. I gave up! Clare was up next after me. She as well had no fear about going down this 200ft cliff. She made it look so easy!!! When the sun finally went down, I swear the temperature dropped 20 degrees!! I was so cold!!! We ran to the car to get home in time for Gossip Girl to start. After an intense hour of Gossip Girl, we went and got some hot chocolate...yummy!!

Flashbacks & Young Love

Yesterday, I ventured back to the town of Enterprise. I surprised by how much it had changed since I'd last been there. Me, Jessica, Logan, and my room mate Kelsey went to the Enterprise High School homecoming game. It was so weird. Going back to high school functions is always a little awkward...seeing people you know but weren't really friends with, the awkward hellos and smiles...I'm not a big fan of it. But regardless, I went. I got to see some old classmates and kids that in my mind are still young cheer leading, dancing, and playing football. It was weird!!! But I made the best of it. Enjoyed some hot chocolate, hot dogs, nachos, and popcorn. Got to love concessions :D I mostly had to get my room mate Kelsey out of our house because her boyfriend was planning on proposing to her once we got back. When we got back to St. George, me and Kelsey returned to the apartment to find rose pedals and candles all around inside our house. She had no clue what was going on, but I was very aware haha!! I ran into the dining room and told her she should just go upstairs. She made her way upstairs to find her boyfriend in her room. Don't worry...she said yes. I wish them luck.

Jess's B-day

It was a day to remember...the day Jessica turned 20!!! We went to dinner the night before at Samuri 21. Where we shared good food and made many memories :) The waiter brought Jess cheesecake with a candle (picture above). She was so happy...just look at the excitement on her face! Well if you look at this picture, it looks like I'm more excited...but what can I say I couldn't let her have all the spot light....haha!!! Just kidding. After my beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday, she blew out that candle like she's been doing this for 20 years! I love my little Jessica! Well I guess she isn't really little since she is older than me. But you know what I mean. After dinner, we went outside and chatted for a hour or so. Good times by that fountain. I gave Jess her b-day "suprise". It started out with "the look"(picture right) and continued on with a very short but sweet dance :D !!!! Later we heard about some dance party and decided that maybe we would hit that up. When we got there however it seemed as though everyone was still in high school. So we quickly left....but not before Joel and Trevor could make fun of the high school cheerleaders that were walking in as we left. Next on the agenda was a good old house party. We went to Jenny's house and discovered that Jessica's brother (picture left) was at that exact same party!!! Crazy/Ackward/Weird!!!! We then ventured back to Jenny's house to play a little Rock Band 2!! We had Jess on the drums, me on the vocals, Joel on lead guitar, and Bryttni on bass. And oh yes....we ROCKED it!!!! At about 3:00 am we decided we should probably get a little shut eye. The next day I arose refreshed and rejuvenated! I had scheduled pedicures for me and Jess to help us relax. She was off at sucba class. Open water diving in Sand Hallow. Don't worry no crazy sea creatures have eaten her yet!!! Because of Scuba, she missed the pedicures and was very saddened. Later that night we decided to go up to a friend's cabin in Kolob and go camping for the night. Everyone sat around the campfire and told funny stories. We ate some amazing tasting chicken, played hide and seek in the woods, went four wheeling, and played yahtzee!!! After all the nights events, we finally found our way to bed. Of course there was no actual sleeping that went on....we were up all night laughing about random things and playing "thought now". And that is the story of Jessica's Birthday! I can't believe that you are 20!!! Crazy!!!
